ORIX USA Appoints James Gruver Head of Capital Formation

James Gruver as Head of Capital Formation

ORIX Corporation USA has announced the appointment of James Gruver as Managing Director and Head of Capital Formation. This move has marked an important milestone in the company’s ongoing growth journey. Gruver will be based in New York. He will report to Jeff Abrams, Group Head of Private Credit and Real Estate. A member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Strengthening Capital Formation and Investor Strategy

In his new role, Gruver will lead the firm’s capital formation strategy. He will leverage more than 30 years of experience in global institutional investment and wealth management. He will also be leading fundraising initiatives, product development, and investor engagement across all asset classes. Before joining ORIX USA, Gruver held senior leadership positions at BNY Mellon, Black River, Heitman, and most recently Polen Capital. Gruver has successfully built and grown platforms and executed growth strategies in private markets, hedge funds, and traditional asset classes.
