Dynatrace Names AI and Technology Leader Chandu Thota to Its Board of Directors

Dynatrace is strengthening AI leadership with the appointment of Chandu Thota to its Board of Directors. The move reinforces its focus on AI-powered innovation.

Leading observability platform Dynatrace confirmed the new role effective from July 27, 2026. Mr. Chandu Thota has over two decades of leadership experience in the field of AI. He has developed and scaled platforms for AI, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software.

Furthermore, Thota has been involved in important positions within global leaders in technology companies like Google and Microsoft. His areas of specialization include machine learning, product development, and engineering on a large scale. It is for this reason that Dynatrace anticipates getting a lot out of him. At present, Thota is Vice President of Engineering at Google Workspace where he leads team. In developing secure and AI-based communication & productivity solutions.

Moreover, Thota also has 15 years of experience working with Alphabet in different leadership positions. He served as Vice President of the Product Unit at Google DeepMind. Additionally, he also managed business platforms at Google Cloud and engineering at Google Maps. Prior to his appointment at Alphabet, Thota co-founded a startup that was later acquired by Google. He was also a part of Microsoft where he had an impressive career in engineering positions.
