Owens & Minor has appointed Jeannine Tait as chief human resources officer, strengthening its executive leadership team. Tait will lead people strategy across the company’s global workforce of 14,000 teammates.
Tait is the new CHRO, responsible for talent development, organizational culture, performance management, and employee engagement within the company. The role played by Tait will increase the depth of executive leadership at Owens & Minor, which is headed by Jim Marshall as the CEO. In February 2026, Tait was hired by Owens & Minor as the interim CHRO.
Throughout her career, Tait has designed strategies that have been focused on people and have positively impacted business success. Tait’s efforts have helped in retaining employees, increasing efficiency, and making the organization more effective. Prior to Owens & Minor, Tait had worked as chief human resources and communication officer for McGraw Hill.

Jeannine Tait Brings Extensive HR Leadership Experience
The transition helped McGraw-Hill to have a strategy for its digital business before its IPO. The process also helped them cut costs, reduce employee turnover, and improve employee engagement. Tait previously worked as a vice president of total rewards and HR operations for Solenis, where she was involved in human resources integration and workforce expansion.
At the same time, Tait’s hiring rounds out yet another critical addition to the executive management team of Owens & Minor. The executives include Mike Lowry, EVP and chief financial officer, and Marc Rottink, EVP and chief operating officer. The team also includes Dirk Benson, EVP and chief commercial officer, and Greg Sagstetter, EVP and general counsel.

This business operates as a separate private company under the title of Owens & Minor.
