Accenture and Workday have come together to launch an Agentic AI Engineering initiative that would assist organizations in transforming work and enhancing business performance. By adopting the forward deployed engineering (FDE) approach, Accenture and Workday would work with client organizations. They would assist the organizations in deploying the Workday agents quickly and generating returns from their AI investments fast.
Additionally, by working with the client organizations, the joint teams would blend the industry, functional, and engineering knowledge of Accenture with the agentic technology of Workday. This would be done while leveraging clients’ processes, data, policies, and controls.
Accenture would also leverage its extensive experience in deploying and extending the agentic capabilities of Workday in large organizations. This would help Accenture enhance its offerings to the clients.
“AI is fundamentally changing work, the workforce and how organizations operate,” said Julie Sweet, chair and CEO, Accenture. “Together with Workday, we will help our clients reinvent HR and finance for a future where people and AI agents collaborate in new ways of working that create measurable business outcomes and drive growth.”
Advancing Enterprise AI Through Collaboration
In addition to working with clients, Accenture engineers will partner with the product and engineering teams at Workday to create new agentic capabilities through the Workday platform. In doing so, both organizations hope to create a continuous feedback loop between client transformation and product development, learning from new capabilities tested in real-world enterprise environments and using that knowledge to improve the platform.
The process will assist in the adoption of Agentic AI in enterprise organizations, while considering the needs of enterprises. It will also tie customer experience to technology development.
“When AI is helping run payroll and close the books, almost right isn’t good enough,” said Aneel Bhusri, co-founder, CEO and chair, Workday. “Our customers already trust Workday with their people and their money. And now with Accenture, we’ll help them move from experimenting with AI to running their business on it, faster and with greater confidence.”
The program is based on the long-term relationship between Accenture and Workday. Furthermore, this partnership represents their commitment to revolutionizing human resources and financial departments using technology. With organizations becoming more inclined to collaborate with human skills and AI agents, the partnership is intended to facilitate better work practices. Through the cooperation, Accenture and Workday will assist organizations in achieving better adoption of Agentic AI.
