EmployeeWorks

The NBA ServiceNow partnership is expanding to improve employee experience through ServiceNow EmployeeWorks. The National Basketball Association (NBA) will utilize the tool to streamline its internal services and daily work tasks.

ServiceNow announced the expansion of the partnership as the NBA’s Official Employee Workflow Partner. Employees of the NBA can perform onboarding and internal service requests via EmployeeWorks. They can even complete a number of work-related tasks through a single platform.

The partnership leverages on the NBA’s existing use of ServiceNow technology. For instance, the NBA’s employee intranet called “Home Court” runs on Employee Center Pro. This platform has already enhanced the accessibility of internal services.

Krishna Bhagavathula, Chief Technology Officer at the NBA, highlighted the partnership’s employee-focused approach.

“Our continued partnership with ServiceNow reflects our focus on providing employees with tools that make their day-to-day work easier and more efficient,” said Krishna Bhagavathula, Chief Technology Officer, NBA. “By bringing information and services together in one place, EmployeeWorks will help simplify routine tasks and allow our employees to focus on the work that matters most.”

Bhavin Shah, senior vice president of ServiceNow’s employee experience group, also emphasized the platform’s benefits.

“The NBA has set the bar for seamless fan experiences. EmployeeWorks brings that same standard to the people behind the scenes,” said Bhavin Shah, senior vice president, employee experience group, ServiceNow. “Work shouldn’t slow down because employees have to figure out which system to use or who to contact. With EmployeeWorks, they can simply ask for what they need and trust that the work will get done across the systems they already use, tailored to their role. The result is a simpler employee experience and faster internal operations for the NBA.”

How ServiceNow EmployeeWorks Will Support NBA Employees

The platform will introduce several capabilities to simplify daily workplace operations.

  • HR and IT requests: Staff members can submit onboarding tasks and IT requests. This entails things such as resetting passwords, opening locked accounts, and gaining access to software.
  • Meeting scheduling and room bookings: The Calendaring Assistant is a calendar system. It assists employees in scheduling room bookings, adding conference calls, and managing the schedules of the whole team. It can even determine appropriate meeting times.
  • Centralized information access: Policies and internal documentation from the company can be accessed through various systems. Employees are also able to perform actions via a single system interface.
  • Simplified approvals: Employees will be able to view and approve any time-off requests as well as laptop or software orders. The notifications from Home Court will allow them to view the details of the request, after which they will be able to approve the requests.

Overall, the expanded NBA ServiceNow partnership aims to simplify internal operations. It will also give employees a more connected and efficient workplace experience.
