Aragorn AI, a Dallas-based startup developing the People Ops Operating System, has raised $4.3 million in seed funding led by LiveOak Ventures, with participation from Dallas Venture Capital. This brings Aragorn’s total funding to $5.5 million. It supports its goal of bringing together HR data, analytics, and AI assistants into a single smart platform.

For decades, HR teams have juggled disconnected tools, manual integrations, and outdated spreadsheets—slowing decision-making and driving up operational costs. Aragorn AI aims to change that by offering a connected system of intelligence that helps HR departments operate like modern, data-driven organizations.

“We’re not just adding another chatbot to HR software,” said Ed Adjei, CEO and Co-founder of Aragorn AI. “We’re rebuilding the HR stack from the ground up to reflect how People Ops teams actually work handling messy data, evolving org structures, and real-world workflows. Aragorn helps HR operate efficiently without depending on consultants or engineers.”

A Unified Platform for Modern People Operations

The Aragorn AI platform consolidates fragmented HR systems into a single, reliable source of truth. It provides clean, real-time data, a unified HR analytics layer, and AI-powered assistants that perform tasks directly in collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams.

The platform is built around three core components:

  • Integrations Engine: Quickly connects payroll, benefits, ATS, LMS, and performance systems in days not months.
  • Analytics Studio: Provides no-code dashboards for exploring workforce trends, retention, and capacity forecasts.
  • Agentic Studio: Enables HR teams to launch AI-driven analysts and assistants with zero engineering effort.

With this structure, Aragorn eliminates brittle integrations and siloed dashboards, empowering HR to be proactive, insight-driven, and strategic.

Backing HR’s Transition into the Intelligence Era

The company aims to help HR shift from manual administration to smarter operations driven by real-time data and automation.

“Our mission is to make HR a technology-driven function where managing employee data doesn’t require engineers or workarounds,” added Adjei.

Founded in 2022 by siblings Ed and Gladys Adjei, Aragorn AI emerged from their shared experience in solving data fragmentation challenges. Ed previously grew YourCause to over 500 enterprise clients before its $157 million acquisition by Blackbaud. Gladys, a former Raytheon engineer, brought strong knowledge in secure and distributed systems.

Early Adoption and Market Validation

Aragorn AI is already in use at several leading enterprises, including Plaid, The Friedkin Group, and Oak View Group.

“Implementing Aragorn AI has been a complete game-changer for our team,” said Amy S., Director of HR Operations at The Friedkin Group. “It’s simplified our integrations, improved agility, and helped us operate far more efficiently.”

Investors see the platform as a transformative step for HR technology.

“The HR market has seen countless chatbots and iPaaS tools, but Aragorn is something entirely new,” said Venu Shamapant, Co-founder and Partner at LiveOak Ventures. “By combining a robust HR data framework with agentic AI, Aragorn is creating the future operating system for People Ops.”

Driving the Future of People Operations

With new funding, Aragorn AI plans to grow product development, improve AI capabilities, and scale market operations. The company’s People Ops OS aims to make HR faster, smarter, and more connected. It starts a new era where data-based insights and automation lead every HR decision.
