Dayforce to Acquire Ribbon AI Inc. to Strengthen Agentic Recruiting

Ribbon

Dayforce intends to buy Ribbon AI Inc. in order to bolster its Agentic Recruiting offering and increase efficiencies around recruitment processes. In fact, Dayforce, Inc. has entered into a deal to acquire Ribbon, which is an AI-enabled recruiting technology firm. Ribbon provides solutions to source, screen, and connect with the right candidates. The technology will also help Dayforce to incorporate conversational voice and video AI technology in its recruiting platform.

It seeks to aid the process of delivering top-notch interviews in a cost-efficient manner. Automating the preliminary screening process will lead to reduced costs associated with hiring and increased efficiency in the process for the candidates.

“High-volume hiring shouldn’t mean choosing between speed and a strong candidate experience,” said David Ossip, Founder and CEO of Dayforce, Inc. “AI can take on more of the manual, time-sensitive work that slows hiring down, while recruiters focus on engaging talent and making the decisions that matter. Ribbon accelerates our vision for agentic recruiting, helping frontline organizations get the right people into critical roles faster and build a more responsive, resilient workforce.”

Expanding AI-Powered Recruiting Capabilities

Ribbon has had hundreds of clients and conducted more than one million interviews. Fast Company included Ribbon in the list of 2026’s Most Innovative Companies in Enterprise due to its utilization of AI agents that imitate human interviewing through research-based job interviews.

Moreover, Ribbon’s voice AI interviewer conducts two-sided dialogue continuously. It creates interview questions and rubrics according to the description of the job and previous interviews. This technology evaluates interviewees on the basis of transcript analysis. This is possible due to agentic recruiting technology, which automates the recruitment process at the beginning. However, built-in integrity checks can help to detect anomalies in audio, gaze, and response timing. In addition, 90% of Ribbon clients use its default setup.

Apart from interview functionality, Ribbon has some more AI-powered sourcing and talent rediscovery tools that help with Agentic Recruiting. With these tools, one can find out candidates eligible for recruitment through their current pool of candidates. The tool was implemented for up to 30 million candidates within one applicant tracking system. Additionally, Ribbon can contact candidates through SMS, WhatsApp, and email.

Furthermore, Ribbon is about to release its AI scheduling agent that would boost the recruitment process and make Agentic Recruiting even more powerful.

“Ribbon was built on a simple belief: every candidate deserves a genuine opportunity to be considered, and every recruiter deserves technology that makes hiring better,” said Arsham Ghahramani, Co-Founder and CEO of Ribbon. “Joining Dayforce will allow us to bring our conversational AI, interview intelligence, sourcing, and outreach capabilities to more organizations around the world. Together, we can make hiring faster, more fair, and more personal.”
