UKG Expands Frontline Worker Network to Strengthen Workforce Operations Leadership

Worker Network

UKG Frontline Worker Network enhances its worker support ecosystem by introducing Cash App. This move improves the availability of financial products and services for frontline workers. UKG is an AI-first workforce operations platform that links workers with quality services based on their current employment and payment experience. The company supports over 65 million workers and 80,000 organizations in more than 150 countries around the world. Two-thirds of Fortune 1000 companies use UKG’s services. UKG uses its Frontline Worker Network to provide access to services for workers regarding finances, credit, groceries, and tax returns.

“UKG is the center of gravity for frontline workforce operations, and that gives us an opportunity to support workers beyond the traditional boundaries of HR and benefits administration,” said Suresh Vittal, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at UKG. “Through the Frontline Worker Network, we are bringing trusted services directly to employees in the flow of work before, during, or after payday, and through mobile tools like UKG Talk that help frontline teams stay connected.”

Expanding Financial Support Across the Pay Cycle

The UKG Frontline Worker Network launched in 2025 addresses the everyday needs of workers instead of just focusing on benefits provided by the employers. Some examples of this include Payactiv and ZayZoon that assist employees in receiving earned wages before payday. In addition, OnePay and Cash App provide easy account setup and direct deposit.

During tax season, Cash App Taxes assists employees in filing their taxes. Employees may use their W-2 information from UKG to file their tax forms. The announcement includes Cash App among the new network partners.

“In a world where recruitment and retention is in a totally different market than it’s ever been, and it’s tougher than it’s ever been, earned wage access is something that we know employees want,” said Kayla Linn, Chief People Officer at Eventide | Tabitha. “It isn’t something that’s very commonly offered in our market. We wanted to be different and provide more to our employees than we ever have before, when financial situations arise.”

Stability in finance can also impact performance at work. Research conducted by PwC in 2026 revealed that financially stressed individuals are five times more likely to suffer from workplace distractions. Moreover, 57% of employees consider finances to be their biggest life stressor.

“Our research with thousands of frontline workers shows that many feel their needs are not met as fully as those of office-based employees,” said Ben Eubanks, Chief Research Officer at Lighthouse Research & Advisory. “UKG’s Frontline Worker Network is designed to help close that gap by connecting workers with meaningful support benefiting employees and helping employers attract, engage, and retain the frontline talent their businesses depend on.”

Strengthening the Frontline Employee Experience

Because the services are included in such familiar applications as UKG Talk, it becomes easier for employees to find the help. Thus, people will be able to handle their financial issues while employers will improve engagement, attendance, and retention. In addition to that, this expansion allows the company to expand the employee value proposition from being limited to HR and benefits. The ultimate goal of the company is to help organizations create a stronger and more supported frontline workforce.
