Valens Semiconductor appointment strengthens its automotive business leadership with the addition of Dean Martin. The company announced Martin as senior vice president and head of the Automotive Business Unit. He will begin his role on September 1, 2026.
Martin is replacing Adar Segal, who is vacating the position. This transition happens at a time when Valens Semiconductor is making inroads into the automotive market. In addition, Martin will be responsible for commercialization activities and customer growth.

Dean Martin Brings Automotive Industry Expertise to Valens
Valens chose Martin based on the wealth of experience he has within the automotive sector. He comes with excellent OEM connections as well as commercial experience. Hence, his leadership is expected to help Valens Semiconductor grow further in the automotive sector. Martin has over 25 years of experience as an executive in global sales leadership.

In addition, Martin has won large design contracts with world-renowned OEMs. Furthermore, he has formed strategic relationships with customers and other industry leaders. The new appointment of Valens Semiconductor has been recognized by Salinger. Salinger congratulated Segal for his contributions and wished him success in future endeavors.
