EquipmentShare marked National Hire a Veteran Day on July 25 with a large-scale hiring initiative to support veteran employment. The Columbia, Missouri-based construction tech firm hosted a full-day recruitment event across its 326+ nationwide locations.
On this day, the company invited veterans to connect with recruiters and explore open positions that match their skills and experience. Veterans could speak directly with hiring teams by calling the toll-free number 833-838-1344 or submitting a form online for same-day interviews.
“We’re treating this like a telethon for our heroes,” said Jabbok Schlacks, CEO and Co-founder of EquipmentShare. “If you’ve served our country, we want to serve you by helping you launch a fulfilling career.”
The company’s focus on veteran employment is not limited to one day. In 2025 alone, EquipmentShare hired 249 veterans into roles across departments. Many veterans have earned promotions—from internships to full-time positions, and from technician roles to leadership.
Currently, 57 of EquipmentShare’s employees continue to serve as National Guardsmen or Reservists. The company supports their military commitments through a workplace culture that honors service.
Furthermore, EquipmentShare maintains strong partnerships with Hiring Our Heroes, DoD SkillBridge, and the Department of Labor’s VETS program. These collaborations help transition service members and military spouses into civilian jobs with structure and support.
In addition, the company operates an internal Military Veterans Program (MVP), aimed at easing the transition into the civilian workforce. Veterans in the MVP receive mentorship, career development guidance, and tailored support throughout their journey.
“Supporting our heroes is in our DNA,” said Schlacks. “Veterans bring unmatched discipline, leadership, and teamwork. Our company grows stronger because of their contributions.”
By combining same-day recruitment efforts with year-round initiatives, EquipmentShare continues to demonstrate its long-term investment in veteran employment. The company encourages veterans to explore rewarding careers where their service-driven mindset can make a lasting impact.
