Enabled Talent has officially launched its inclusive employment platform from Brampton, Ontario. The startup uses AI-powered job matching to connect employers with the “world’s largest untapped workforce” – people with disabilities. About 600 million people with disabilities around the world are dealing with unemployment rates of 70 to 90%. This presents a major opportunity and significant social impact.
Bridging Inclusion, Technology and Global Reach
Founded by a partially blind entrepreneur and powered by lived experience, Enabled Talent goes beyond a simple job board. Instead, it offers an ecosystem built to support employers, governments, colleges, nonprofits and potential employees through hiring, onboarding and workplace inclusion. For example, the platform features bias-free job matching, DEI analytics, accessibility-first design and inclusive onboarding support.
The launch event took place in Brampton’s Innovation District and included key government, business and community leaders. As part of the rollout, the company will expand internationally – starting with regional operations in Africa, including pilot programs in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Mali.
The startup sees its mission as addressing the lost global GDP exceeding $1.9 trillion yearly due to workforce exclusion of people with disabilities. By accessing this talent pool, Enabled Talent seeks to promote inclusive economic growth and help employers find resilient, diverse talent.
Furthermore, the initiative supports Canada’s national goals, including the Barrier-Free Canada vision for 2040. It also backs efforts for inclusive growth.
