Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Appoints David Lee as Global HR Chief

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has named David Lee as the new Global Chief Human Resources Officer. Bolstering its global human resources leadership as the insurer continues to grow in its operations around the world. In his new role, Lee will spearhead human resources strategy and talent across the company globally. He joins BHSI with more than 30 years of human resources and talent acquisition experience serving large multinational companies. Since joining in 2022, Lee has served as BHSI’s Global Head of Talent Acquisition, enhancing recruitment and people development. His new responsibilities include succession planning, organisational culture, and workforce engagement.

Continuing Legacy and Growth in HR Leadership

Lee replaces Kim Briones, who has led the human resources function of BHSI since the firm’s inception in 2013. Briones will retire from her full-time role after building the human resources department from scratch. Boston-based, Lee will report directly to the Company’s executive leadership and will also serve employees in BHSI’s international offices. The new leadership appointment represents the company’s continued commitment to excellence in human resources. It remains in an aggressive growth phase in the global specialty insurance market.
