Former KPMG CLO Mike Mather Joins Yoodli as Chief Learning Advisor

Yoodli

Yoodli appointed former KPMG Chief Learning Officer Mike Mather as Chief Learning Advisor today. In this strategic position, Mather will advise corporate clients and collaborate directly with internal software engineering teams. Consequently, he will help major enterprise organizations prepare their global workforces for AI-driven industry changes.

Mather previously directed learning and development strategy at KPMG US from 2023 through September 2026. Under his executive leadership, KPMG earned Chief Learning Officer magazine’s LearningElite Organization of the Year award in 2023.

Before that role, he led KPMG’s Workforce Transformation and Development practice across North America. Moreover, Mather spent over two decades as a senior partner at EY, IBM, and PwC. During that extensive tenure, he advised Fortune 100 corporate boards on strategic HR modernizations. He holds both an MBA and Chartered Accountant credentials.

Bridging Course Completions and Real-World Workplace Performance

At Yoodli, Mather will guide enterprise clients toward building readiness initiatives focused on measurable behavior change. Leading international enterprises currently rely on Yoodli to execute corporate training, manager coaching, and go-to-market strategies. Key global clients include Google, Databricks, FranklinCovey, Korn Ferry, and Snowflake.

Furthermore, Mather will integrate executive perspective into Yoodli product development roadmaps. The firm pairs realistic AI-driven practice simulations with actionable performance coaching. Therefore, employees apply new skills directly in daily workplace environments rather than relying on basic course completions.

“Learning leaders don’t need another place to send people. They need proof that their people are ready,” said Varun Puri, co-founder and CEO of Yoodli. “Mike has run learning at a scale few people ever see, and he knows exactly what CLOs are measured on. He’ll help our customers get to real outcomes faster.”

“For most of my career, the hardest part of L&D was the gap between training and the moment someone actually has to perform,” said Mike Mather, Chief Learning Advisor at Yoodli. “Yoodli closes that gap. I’m excited to help learning teams use it to show the business what readiness really looks like.”

Ultimately, this executive addition strengthens Yoodli’s market position as a premier enterprise solution for workforce skill adoption.
