SeekOut Names John Tippett President Amid Unified Workday Platforms Shift

SeekOut

The recruitment platform SeekOut has announced the appointment of its co-founder, John Tippett, as President, which is in line with the firm’s AI recruitment approach. This move is made against the backdrop of the fact that enterprises are exploring unified workday platforms along with the integration of AI in their processes.

John Tippett co-founded SeekOut in 2017 and has been working with enterprises for nine years. Prior to the establishment of SeekOut, he worked at Microsoft for 18 years. In addition, he is an alumnus of Stanford University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

“Enterprises have already chosen their AI, connected it to their systems, and trained their people on it. Recruiting belongs inside it, not in one more app,” said Aravind Bala, co-founder and CEO of SeekOut. “That is the shift SeekOut is built for, and John is the right leader to take us through it. He has been at our customers’ side since the first day, and he knows what recruiting teams need from AI.”

Advancing AI Recruiting Beyond Standalone Applications

The hiring process follows growing workloads for talent acquisition professionals who have a lot of available AI solutions at hand. While many recruiting solutions speed up certain processes, recruiters have to deal with multiple sources of information applicant tracking systems, emails, Slack, and schedules. The idea of SeekOut is to provide recruiting functions in enterprise-approved AI solutions. The platform will consider users’ IT permissions while taking on additional tasks gradually.

The recruiting functions of the platform allow teams to find candidates among more than a billion profiles and their applicant tracking systems. Applicant evaluation evaluates applicants and gives reasons. At the same time, AI screening and candidate integrity analyze applicants and detect fraud. Moreover, SeekOut MCP integrates recruiting intelligence into Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Amazon Quick.

Also, SeekOut presents its agentic solution through an early access program. The solution can understand job requisitions, hire manager feedbacks, create sourcing strategies, and even write personalized emails. Recruiters decide how much autonomy workflows get – from suggestions to approved actions and scheduling them.

“Every AI tool in recruiting makes one step faster. Our customers are asking for something different: AI that takes the whole job around the job off their recruiters’ plates, inside the AI their company has already approved,” said Tippett. “The test is the one you would apply to any new hire: the right access, the right place to work, the ability to take feedback, and autonomy it earns over time. That is the standard SeekOut is building to, with recruiters setting the bar and making the calls, and I am honored to lead this team into the next chapter.”

He pointed out the importance of access, feedback, and autonomous empowerment as crucial preconditions for AI recruitment.

In turn, Tippett will talk about SeekOut’s strategy at the Gartner HR Symposium/Xpo in Orlando. His talks will be dedicated to AI agents, workload in recruiting, and the kinds of work that should be delegated to AI by talent acquisition managers. SeekOut’s strategy is designed to help recruiters cut down on bureaucracy without giving up decision-making power.
