equipifi® Becomes “Best Places to Work in the Valley” Finalist Following Rapid Growth

equipifi®

equipifi® has been named a finalist for Phoenix Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in the Valley award for the fourth consecutive year. In last year’s award cycle, equipifi® was ranked second in the Extra Small category. In the last twelve months, the company has also nearly doubled its employee base.

New hires have come on board in the sales, customer success, product, and engineering groups. This has enabled equipifi® to address the growing demand from banks and credit unions. These organizations want their own BNPL solutions that they can control. The hiring was preceded by equipifi®’s Series B funding this year. Consequently, equipifi® has completely reformed every team while scaling its business rapidly.

“Companies find out what their culture is really made of when they scale it fast,” said Bryce Deeney, Co-Founder and CEO of equipifi. “We nearly doubled the team this year, and earning this recognition in the middle of that tells me we’re bringing in the right people. They’ve matched the pace we were already moving at and even pushed us forward. That’s a testament to the culture we’ve built and the people we bring into it.”

BNPL Platform and Team Expansion

Besides the increase in the number of employees, equipifi® also witnessed an increase in transaction volumes in its BNPL platform. This growth was 128% compared to the previous year’s transaction volume. Also, there were improvements made in the platform, such as underwriting and notifications to facilitate its banking and credit union customers.

“This was a year of growth, evolution, and lacing up our running shoes to move fast,” said Marlowe Everett, VP of People at equipifi. “equipifi attracts exceptional people, and we’re deliberate about how we hire, develop, and retain them. We look for people who want to build something meaningful and grow with the company, and once they join, they’re given true ownership to create. With a values-based culture and a wildly talented team in place, we’re set up for an even bigger year ahead.”

Apart from having an increase in the number of employees, equipifi® experienced an increase in the number of transactions within their BNPL platform, which increased by 128% compared to last year’s transaction numbers. There have been improvements in the platform, such as underwriting and notification services to aid their banking and credit union clients.
