Firms in Asia Pacific Adopt Unified Workday Platforms

Workday Platforms

Workday platforms are being employed by firms in the Asia Pacific region to eliminate fragmented systems of finance and HCM. As per the latest ISG report, “the adoption of Workday Platforms helps increase visibility and makes better business decisions possible.”

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® Workday Ecosystem report for the Asia Pacific region states that the need for connected systems is increasing in the region. Firms are experiencing skill shortages and need different types of labor. At the same time, businesses operating in Australia and Japan need more user-friendly technology to hire skilled workers.

“Asia Pacific is becoming a driver of expansion and platform innovation in the Workday ecosystem,” said Michael Gale, partner and regional leader, ISG Asia Pacific. “Companies here want a shared digital core that is flexible enough to reflect each market’s distinct labor rules, payroll practices and workforce expectations.”

Workday Platforms Connect Finance and HR Operations

Enterprise-wide across the region, Workday Platforms allow businesses to unify HR data with financial management, planning, and operations data. This helps minimize data silos and improves the transparency of financial close activities. As a result, organizations will be able to increase the effectiveness of predictive planning, coordination of decisions, and identifying workforce requirements.

Moreover, workday ecosystem partners allow for linking core HR platforms with local payroll and bank integration solutions. Such integrations will be helpful for businesses utilizing Workday Platforms in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, taking into account the tax and labor laws.

Organizations are also transforming their operating models prior to increasing their utilization of Workday AI capabilities and digital agents. Workday partners provide organizations with support in process standardization, improvement of data quality, and workforce readiness. Workforce is transforming its close-to-report processes and audit risk controls.

“Workday adoption in Asia Pacific is becoming a broader transformation of finance, HR and operating models,” said Megha Dodke, lead author of the report. “Organizations need reliable data, clear controls and redesigned processes before scaling AI-enabled workflows.”

Also, it highlights that the adoption of pre-packed Workday Platforms is increasing among mid-market companies. Moreover, the report analyzes how the Flex Credits business model of Workday affects the cost strategy of enterprises.
